Overview
This course covers key elements of the commercialization process and provides you with tools to apply to your own projects, including support in addressing early feedback received from your Accelerator pre-proposal.
Participants will develop a high-quality commercialization plan, translational proposal, and pitch deck for funding consideration by PHT and future partners.

Objectives
- Participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of bringing a health technology innovation from the lab to the market by identifying, evaluating, and validating:
- Unmet clinical needs and stakeholder requirements
- Business opportunities and risks (technical, market, IP, regulatory, reimbursement, etc.)
- Optimal packaging and pitch to maximize future commercial value (e.g., partnerships or follow-on investments)
- Participants will engage in an interdisciplinary experience through team interactions and by connecting with experienced professionals across the University of Pennsylvania, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia campus, and the broader Philadelphia health-technology innovation ecosystem.
Key Deliverables
- Completion of at least 15 stakeholder interviews
- Completion and presentation of weekly assignments
- Completion of a pitch deck outlining the unmet need, solution, business opportunity, and development plan
