Philadelphia, October 4, 2023 — Penn Health-Tech is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Cameron Baston, MD MSCE, as our new Faculty Associate Director, representing the Perelman School of Medicine. In this pivotal role, Dr. Baston will play a vital part in supporting Penn Health-Tech's mission to drive innovation in healthcare by bringing together multidisciplinary expertise from across the University of Pennsylvania, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and beyond. 

Dr. Baston is no stranger to Penn Health-Tech, having previously served as a Clinical Advisor for our organization. Within Penn Medicine, Dr. Baston is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. Additionally, he holds the position of Associate Program Director for the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship and serves as Director of Clinician-Performed ultrasound for the Department of Medicine at Penn and at the Philadelphia VAMC.. A mechanical engineer, epidemiologist, critical care physician, and medical educator, Baston spends about 2/3 of his time caring for critically ill patients, and the remainder working on education innovation and health technology. His extensive background and experience make him a valuable asset to the Penn Health-Tech team.
