Sean Haag, MBA

G. Sean Haag is the VP, intelligent Data Solutions (iDS) for Enabling Technologies within the Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) business at Medtronic.  By leveraging its proprietary software analysis tools with big data and machine learning technologies supported by an expansive collection of clinical and scientific data, iDS streamlines the efficiency of spinal care, reducing procedural complications and limiting time spent in the operating room.  iDS aims to transform spine care by putting personalized, actionable data technology in the hands of every surgeon & patient.
 
Sean has over 20 years of experience in healthcare working within medical devices, Providers and Payors. Sean joined Medtronic in the Cardiac Rhythm division in 2004 and worked in various finance, strategy and business development roles. While in Cardiac Rhythm, he played an instrumental role in creating of the strategy for the diagnostics and monitoring segment, including the early-stage business planning for the Reveal LINQ product.  Sean also has held strategy, marketing and strategic sales leadership roles across Medtronic’s Neurosciences portfolio.  He recently led the Enterprise Accounts team in the eastern US that spanned Cardiac & Vascular, Medical Surgical, as well as Neurosciences.  A key priority for his team was to enable a more collaborative relationship between Medtronic and our hospital and health system customers while developing and operationalizing key strategic partnerships. 
 
Prior to joining Medtronic, Sean was a manager in the Healthcare Practice of Deloitte Consulting where he developed his foundation in the healthcare industry while working on a variety of strategy  and operations engagements for provider and payor clients. Sean has a dual bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Finance and Accounting and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
