Nadav Schwartz, MD, is a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. He is the Director of OBGYN Ultrasound Education and serves as Director of Imaging for the Department. He spends ½ his time clinically managing high risk pregnancies, spending most of that clinical time in the outpatient MFM ultrasound, consultative and prenatal care practices. He also manages the inpatient service and Labor and Delivery Unit 3-4 days a month. He has served as principal investigator on multiple NIH, ITMAT, and industry grants, primarily in the medical-imaging and medical device spaces.
Nadav earned his BS in biology at Yeshiva University and went on to complete medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NY. After a residency at NorthShore University Hospital, he completed a 3-year MFM Fellowship at NYU. He came to PENN in 2008 and has served various roles in the Division including co-Chair of the OB Patient Safety Committee and Clinical Director of Outpatient MFM at HUP. He has an interest in leveraging novel technologies and solutions to address the significant knowledge gap in pregnancy care and to develop disruptive tools to improve perinatal otucomes.
