Glory Durham is the Director of Operations at Penn Health-Tech, the University of Pennsylvania's health-tech innovation center facilitating the development of novel medical devices and early-stage healthcare technologies at the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Medicine, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Glory spearheads the day-to-day functions, driving the acceleration and scaling of high-impact projects, nurturing critical stakeholder engagements, and leading personnel development to ensure business growth. Glory also drives the execution of vital programs and communications, aligning strategic goals and initiatives within the organization.
Beginning her career as the inaugural hire at Penn Health-Tech, Glory demonstrated her ability to tackle challenges head-on and her exceptional skill in transforming emerging ideas into successful initiatives. This role underscored her entrepreneurial spirit and leadership acumen, establishing her as a pioneering force in the health-tech field.
Before joining Penn, Glory was instrumental in optimizing quality improvement and assurance processes for public health emergency preparedness in Allegheny and West Chester counties. Her contributions were vital in enhancing epidemiologic responses, including effective media outreach and crisis communication strategies.
Glory has a bachelor’s degree, with concentrations in neuroscience, psychology, and chemistry, from the University of Pittsburgh. She earned a master of public health (MPH) in Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases and Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health as well as a master’s in business administration (MBA) in Marketing and Operations Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s The Wharton School through its MBA Program for Executives.
