Courtney Houtsma, MS

Courtney Houtsma, MS is the Director of Program Management and Development for Penn Health-Tech. Houtsma supports Penn Health-Tech Health Tech Accelerator Program as well as contributes to other key center programs, initiatives and reporting. With over 6 years in the medical device industry, Houtsma has experience in leading projects from concept development to the commercialization. She has extensive expertise with orthopedic implants and instrument systems. In her previous roles, she actively managed timelines and aligned key stakeholders positioned both internally and externally.

Houtsma graduated from Drexel University in 2015 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a concentration in Biomechanics and Human Performance. After graduating, she became a founding member and board chair of the Drexel Biomed Alumni Network. In 2021, Houtsma received an M.S. in Engineering Management from Drexel University. Courtney takes a results-orientated and accountability-focused approach to her work.
